European/Asian? Transfer Targets for Summer 2012:
Dider Drogba, Striker, Chelsea
Who wants him? Shanghai Shenhua, Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid, Marseille, PSG
Who will get him? Real Madrid. Ultimately, Drogba clearly still has Champions’ football left in him, and coming off the bench at the Bernabéu for former boss Jose Mourinho (or starting if Higuaín or Benzema get sold) could be the perfect way to end his illustrious career. Barcelona could be in play too, especially with how the absence of David Villa hurt them this year, but Drogba may be looking for something new and I don’t see him squeezing in a ton of PT at Barça, especially if/when Villa returns. I expect him in either Asia or MLS after the (most likely two year) deal he gets this offseason, however.
Chelsea have defeated Bayern Munich 1-1 (4-3 in Penalties) to win the UEFA Champions League on the back of a fantastic performance by Didier Drogba.
