Dear other Sportspage writer(s),
It looks like NOLA is just freeing up a ton of cap space a year quicker than they would have while also saving $19 million in the process. Lewis has one year left at about $24 million while both Okafor and Ariza have 2 years (Ariza’s second year being a player option) at $28 and $15 million respectively. (My bad. ESPN already said all of that.) So, in this case, I think trading garbage for stinking, hot garbage actually does make since.
The real question here is, if an Okafor falls on the court does anybody notice? The answer is no, because he’s played in Charlotte and New Orleans and no one is aware those cities have NBA teams. David Stern is the devil, the lottery is fixed, and Dwight Howard should be whining his way out of Charlotte right now instead of Orlando. I hate the NBA.
