If you answered yes, I wouldn’t necessarily disagree, but 31 and 45 points in his first two games (both wins) as a Rocket already make a strong agreement that he’s at least on his way.

Odom traded to the Clippers in a four-team trade involving Mo Williams.

With Mo Williams finally deciding Friday to exercise his $8.5-million contract option, the Clippers and Dallas Mavericks were able to agree to a four-team trade that will bring Lamar Odom back to the Clippers team that drafted him in 1999.
Williams will go to Utah and the Jazz will send the Mavericks a trade exception when the deal becomes offical, probably later today, said sources who were not authorized to speak publicly on the trade.

The Houston Rockets have traded the No. 14 pick and center Samuel Dalembert to the Milwaukee Bucks for the 12th selection, Shaun Livingston, Jon Leuer and Jon Brockman.
This is a move to build a package to send to the Magic for Dwight Howard. The Rockets now have 3 1st round picks (12,16,18). I’m not sure what it would take, but either way, the Rockets are trying.

Here’s the thing about the trade.
I don’t understand the uproar by the owners. However, I do agree that if they got both Paul and Howard the team would be ridiculous.
This deal (as currently constituted, not counting future deals) makes the Lakers worse.
They’d have Kobe, Paul and Bynum, and that’s it.
Metta World Peace and Caracter would be their other starters.  Their bench has Walton, Blake, Fisher, Ebanks. That’s not a good team.  Especially once Bynum gets hurt.  This will open up some salary (though still over the cap), so it depends on the next move they make.  If they were to bring in Howard next, they’d be a really good team (Seems like he’s going to the Nets). But if they don’t get a good big they will get bullied underneath.
The Hornets made a great deal.
They got four starters and draft picks.
Their starting lineup would be Dragic, Martin, Odom, Scola, Okafor (I’ve heard that Okafor might be getting dealt too)
Their bench has Ariza, Jack, Pondexter, and Ewing.
That’s not a terrible team, just add some bench bigs. Martin and Dragic would provide most of the offense, but it’s a good team
Houston. I don’t know what they’re thinking.  Gasol is good, but not worth Scola, Martin, and Dragic. I anticipate them signing a star with the cap space (Nene is the rumor) but I’m just going on what the deal was at this point.
I’m guessing their lineup is Lowry, Lee, Budinger, Gasol, Thabeet.
That’s iffy, because their bench could have a starter or two on it, Flynn, Hill, Williams, Patterson, Cousin, Blakely.
That’s a bad team, their whole roster is comprised of decent bench guys.  Of course this will open up a lot of salary, so maybe they could sign a really good player to play with Gasol.
There is no reason for the owners not to like this deal.  The holdup is actually because a lot of money is moving around.  The Hornets are taking in a lot of money, and the other teams are opening a lot up.  That’s where it has any hold up (however, it’s always waved by the commish). If the Hornets traded away Okafor to the Lakers (but I wouldn’t do that), it would work out financially. In reality, the only reason this was held up is because the Hornets are owned by the league. I still imagine this deal happening eventually..
Here’s the real question, does New Orleans really want Khloe?

In a terrible turn of events the Hornets are sending Chris Paul to the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers are nearing an agreement to acquire All-Star point guard Chris Paul in a three-team trade that will cost them Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Lakers are finalizing the trade with the New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets. Under the terms of the deal, the Lakers would send Gasol to the Rockets. The Hornets would receive Odom, Rockets guardsKevin Martin and Goran Dragic and forward Luis Scola, league sources said. -Yahoo
