Watch out LA, he’s back!
Odom traded to the Clippers in a four-team trade involving Mo Williams.

With Mo Williams finally deciding Friday to exercise his $8.5-million contract option, the Clippers and Dallas Mavericks were able to agree to a four-team trade that will bring Lamar Odom back to the Clippers team that drafted him in 1999.
Williams will go to Utah and the Jazz will send the Mavericks a trade exception when the deal becomes offical, probably later today, said sources who were not authorized to speak publicly on the trade.

Lakers pull out of deal for Paul; Trade Kardashian Odom for nothing
So Howard’s the target now? I don’t get it. They have bigs. I know Gasol is getting old and Bynum’s lower joints have been doomed since birth, but holding onto one of those two and teaming him with Paul and Kobe sounds better than just Howard and Kobe to me. I’m assuming they’ll have to give up Gasol and Bynum for Howard, but who really knows at this point? Odom for ‘draft considerations’ makes even less sense to me. He seems much more valuable to the team as a bargaining chip or a sixth man than those ‘draft considerations’ will be. Thoughts?

This is ridiculous. I love how they refer to him as the “unhappy Odom”, maybe that’s because he’s well aware that we was traded days ago.  Anyway, I was so thrilled that the NBA was back, and I forget how misguided the league is sometimes. First of all, the Lakers should have just thrown in a draft pick and resubmitted the trade. I’m pretty sure that Stern regrets vetoing the deal, and a small adjustment would have put it over the top. He couldn’t possibly approve the same deal and not look more foolish, so throw in something useless.  Oh well, it’s obviously off the table now. Basically, the Hornets are only allowed to trade him to a bad or small market team now or the owners (*AHEM* Dan Gilbert) will complain. This means, the Knicks, Celtics, Clippers(are they big market? I mean it’s LA, but the Clippers), are all not allowed to trade for him, and they probably offer the best three packages, which will probably be worse than what the Lakers gave up.
