Dwight Howard FINALLY traded to the Lakers.
A four-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers is complete, multiple sources told ESPN on Thursday night.
A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com’s Marc Stein the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.
In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless, a source told Stein.
Sources close to the process told Stein and ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Ramona Shelburne that a trade call with the league office has been scheduled for Friday to secure the necessary NBA approval to make the deal official. - ESPN
I’m so glad this is finally over, now I fear that it’s going to be all that sports talk reports on for the next two weeks.
When approached for a quote, a SportsPage writer responded by saying “Shaq Fu Forever”.
I hope Dwight goes to LA so he can continue to be a wannabe Shaq and I never have to hear about him ever again.
I give up.
Now wouldn’t that just be the worst!
I do think that Brooks, Lopez, Humphries, and three 1st round picks (2013, 2015, 2017) would be a hell of a deal. Although I’d imagine the picks wouldn’t be great after having Howard, Williams and Johnson on the same team.
Yesterday Jarrett Jack praised Dwight Howard for his loyalty and took a small shot at the “Dream Teams”. Dwyane Wade had a tweet later in what seems like a response to Jack. Wade tweeted that his loyalty tweet had nothing to do with Dwight Howard. I don’t believe him, do you?
Dwight Howard has told several teammates, as well as members of the Orlando Magic organization, that he will not opt out of his contract at the end of this season, sources close to the situation said.
That would mean Howard would remain under contract in Orlando through the 2012-2013 season. - ESPN

Dwight Howard is preparing to ask the Orlando Magic to trade him to the New Jersey Nets.
“As ESPN.com reported last week, the Nets are ready to offer the Magic a package built around center Brook Lopez and two first-round draft picks, New Jersey’s own and one the Nets acquired from Houston in a previous trade, according to sources.
New Jersey is also willing to take back Hedo Turkoglu and the three years, $34 million remaining on his deal.” - ESPN
