But so far Baltimore’s Chris Davis is 0-6 with 5 strikeouts and a double play. Way to made too much contact in that last at bat.
UPDATE: but he did get the win.
Tommy Hunter is decent, so that was an alright pickup.
But Chris Davis?
I know he’s got potential but he’s 25 and at his peak what will he be? Mark Reynolds? Probably, at best. I doubt he will ever even be that. Here’s what’s funny to me. Mark Reynolds is on the Orioles already. If they start one at each corner next year they could literally have 2 players who strike over 200 times. Mark Reynolds already holds the NL record with 223 in 2009 for the D’Backs. The AL record is currently 197, held by Jack Cust, in 2008 for Oakland. Reynolds has struck out over 200 times the last three seasons. I do doubt that the Orioles will have two players over 200 strikeouts next year because I don’t believe that Davis will stay in the lineup the whole year. But I’m willing to bet that they will get at least one.
