In my opinion Peyton Manning will bring his talents to South Beach.
I believe that Peyton Manning will end up in Miami. From all of the media I’ve seen and read, it appears that Miami and the Texans are the front runners.
Tony Dungy said on Mike and Mike that he doesn’t believe that winning a Super Bowl will be the biggest factor regarding Manning’s future. Which is obviously not something that you want to hear from your soon to be star quarterback but means that just because the 49ers and Texans could be instant contenders that it doesn’t mean Manning will go there.
Being comfortable is an important factor for Manning and Miami fits that description. Manning owns a condo in Miami and moved there this off-season.  Weeks ago Reggie Wayne was doing his rounds, talking about what teams he could play for, now it seems like there is a chance of the two staying together. Wayne also lives in Florida.
Miami would be a good team with Manning. I don’t expect him to be the old Manning, going to an offense that so far hasn’t been tailored around his talents but he’s still going to be one of the top qbs. For the sake of the argument, let’s believe that Manning and Wayne end up on the same team. Miami would have Marshall, Wayne, Bess, Bush, and Fasano (who’s one of the better red-zone tight ends). With the 8th pick in the draft, if I were Miami, I’d draft someone to protect Manning, but that spot provides a lot of ways to improve the team.
It would be fun to see Brady and Manning face off twice a year for the rest of Manning’s career.
If he were to stay in the AFC, I don’t see the Jets as much of an option. For one, I couldn’t imagine Manning being comfortable in New York, plus he’d be in the same market as his brother. What would happen with Mark Sanchez? Although he hasn’t done great, the Jets invested a lot in Sanchez. If Manning came in for three years, and retired, the Jets would be back to where they started when Favre left. I guess the Jets could make the move if they think Manning is the sole difference in getting them to the Super Bowl. I would love to see how they manage to get him under the cap.
These are just my rambling opinions but whether I’m right or wrong, I believe that we will find out soon. I hear that Manning has already told the Redskins that he’s not interested in joining their team. So they better start gathering their assets to send to the Rams.
