Sad stuff, but a worthwhile read.

I’m just kidding, I won’t. But it is.
Don’t listen to Mike. No it isn’t.
Except that time my Knicks got Patrick Ewing. Then it totally was.

This isn’t a foul in the NBA.
game-changer.
I hate complaining about the refs in the NBA but in the playoffs I tend to do it every game (I apologize to my followers). Which is frustrating for a sport I love to too often get decided by this. I know I complain about it most when it happens to the Celtics or by the Heat, which is driven by my bias, I admit that (I like to think on all other accounts I’m pretty fair and balanced, but this drives me crazy). With that considered, this series is going to be so frustrating to watch. In this game we saw 33 personal fouls called against the Celtics. Pierce, Dooling, and Pietrus fouled out. We saw 18 against the Heat. The play above wasn’t called, it was tied with less than 2 minutes left in overtime. Immediately after this play the Heat ran down the floor and got a basket while Rondo was slow to get up. That was the game. It’s easy to lean on the lead in the NBA when it’s close to the end of the game. Let’s not even get me started on the technicals in game 1. OK, it’s out of my system. I won’t complain about the refs again… Until the next time the Heat play.
